Irish Student Teachers’ Levels of Moral Reasoning: Context, Comparisons, and Contributing Influences
This article discusses findings from a longitudinal study of the levels of moral reasoning of student teachers in an Irish university. While comparing theses students' results to international findings, it was found that the levels of moral reasoning of these students’ were higher than those of their international peers.

The current study reports the use of the Draw-a-Science-Teacher-Test as diagnostic tool for both preservice teacher beliefs about science teaching and science methods course effectiveness. Results indicated statistically significant shifts in participants’ mental models of science teaching and learning. Post-course more students portrayed student-centered reform minded practices.

The study compared learning for fifth grade students in two math homework conditions. The paper-and-pencil condition represented traditional homework, with review of problems in class the following day. The Web-based homework condition provided immediate feedback in the form of hints on demand and step-by-step scaffolding. The authors analyzed the results for students who completed both the paper-and-pencil and the Web-based conditions.

Three sections of the same distance education class completed a series of Web-based concept map assessments using one of two methods. Open-ended maps applied in section 1 led students to conduct more relational thinking overall, but variance in map items was very high introducing more subjectivity in scoring.
